School of Chemical Engineering

INTERNATIONAL INVENTION COMPETITION FOR YOUNG MOSLEM SCIENTIST (I2CYMS), the Indonesian Young Scientists Association (IYSA) program in collaboration with Gunung Jati State Islamic University (UIN) Bandung, is one of the largest international competitions on undergraduate student research activities in Indonesia which was held on July, 2^nd 2021 . This competition provides an opportunity for creative Islamic students from various countries to share and present ideas which could be beneficial for the future. In addition, this competition also encourages undergraduate students creating new types of research projects and improves their quality as their contribution to the world’s development.

Chemical Engineering department, FTUB has successfully held another FGD (Focus Group Discussion) meeting related to the implementation of “Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka” (MBKM) policy to the chemical undergraduate degree study curriculum as the continuation of our previous FGD. We invited one of Indonesian Accreditation Board of Engineering Education (IABEE) committee, Tjokorde Walmiki Samadhi, S.T., M. T, Ph. D, from Chemical Engineering Department, Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB) as the keynote speaker. This FGD was held on June, 24^th, 2021. 

Chemical engineering department, FT UB has successfully held the Focus Group Discussion (FGD) on June 17^th, 2021. The FGD mainly talked about the implementation of “Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM)” policy to the undergraduate degree chemical engineering curriculum in Indonesia. Prof. Suherman from Department of Chemical Engineering, Diponegoro University was invited as the keynote speaker in this FGD since he is also a chairman of the Indonesian Chemical Engineering Higher Education Association (APTEKIM). The main objective of this FGD was the synchronization process of our undergraduate degree curriculum that is currently applied in the chemical engineering department, FT UB to the curriculum set by APTEKIM as well as the implementation of MBKM policy.
