The Chemical Engineering Student Association was founded on the basis of the needs of the Big Family of Chemical Engineering Students for a place for aspirations, a forum for channeling creativity in academic and non-academic fields and student welfare. In addition, the formation of HMTK FT – UB is also motivated by the moral responsibility as a student to build the Indonesian nation with all the knowledge and creativity possessed by Chemical Engineering Students.
